Once Sailormoon went off the air in Japan back in '96 All merchandising stopped, And it seemed that would be the end of it all. Ahhh, but after Sailormoon's many resurrections, (at the end of the first season, the end of the second season, the end of R the Movie ect.) we should know better than that!!

You just can't keep a good Moon Princess Down! And true to form, Sailormoon saw her revival in 1999 with the release of yet another wave of dolls.

This time around though, greater attention was given to the 6in. dolls,
and less to the 10 1/2 in. ones. Still, it was a welcome sight to us collectors who felt we were nearing the end of our quest. And the merchandise they released,
was some of the BEST EVER!!!

SailorMoon Collection DX
(In Japan, the name for Sailormoon Musical Stage Production Shows is Sera-Myu Musicals. The shows are a big hit in Japan, so to capitalize on it, in 1999 Bandai released this special edition set of dolls based on the shows. The dolls wear costumes similar to those the actors wore in the shows. Not only are they some of the best dolls ever made, but finally Venus has the correct hair style and not just a ponytail.)
